Democrat U.S. Representative, Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, recently expressed concern for a bill
Introduced by Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., known as the “Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021,” which would undermine constitutional rights of "almost half of the country," she said in an interview Friday.
The problem will come into focus as the Biden administration builds its profile of a potential domestic extremists. “What are we talking about? Religious extremists, are we talking about Christians, evangelical Christians?” she asked. "What is a religious extremist? Is it somebody who is pro-life? I mean, where do you take this?"
Gabbard continued: "You start looking at, OK, well, obviously you have to be a white person, obviously likely male. Libertarians. Well, anybody who loves freedom, liberty, maybe has an American flag on their house or people who, you know, attended a Trump rally."
President Biden on Friday ordered the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to conduct a "comprehensive threat assessment" on "domestic violent extremism" along with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security. Concerned anonymous sources, close to the assessment, have revealed a myopic obsession on what are being termed, “Christian Nationalists.”
The initiative was confirmed by the disclosure Thursday, by former Obama CIA Director John Brennan, that amid calls by Democratic leaders to "deprogram" and "reeducate" Trump supporters, the Biden team was "moving in laser-light fashion" to root out an "unholy alliance" that includes "religious extremists" and libertarians.
