A Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist has revealed that US Navy divers, laid the explosives that destroyed the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline under the Baltic Sea last September. Seymour Hersh, who scooped journalism’s top award more than five decades ago for exposing the “My Lai massacre” of Vietnamese civilians by US troops in 1968, reported on Substack the explosive story, no pun intended.
In a short statement, Pentagon spokesman Marine Corps Lt. Col. Garron J. Garn, told The Post “the United States was not involved in the Nord Stream explosion,” reiterating the Defense Department’s response to the same question in October.
However, Swedish officials have long suspected that the coordinated blasts were the result of “sabotage” by a NATO country, given the sophistication and scope of the underwater operation. Western officials were quick to blame the attacks on Moscow despite the question as to why they would sabotage their own self-interests?
As it is, Russia did block gas supplies to Europe in response to sanctions imposed on them for last year’s invasion of Ukraine. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, said in response to Hersh’s report that Moscow has: “repeatedly expressed its belief that the US and NATO were involved in the explosions.”
Prior to the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, President Biden had threatened that the Nord Stream 2 project, connecting Russia and Germany, would not move forward if an attack took place:
“If Russia invades — that means tanks or troops crossing the border of Ukraine, again — then there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2,” Biden said on Feb. 7, 2022. “We will bring an end to it,” Biden when on to say. These comments caused many to suspect US involvement when the pipelines exploded seven months later.
By now you are probably asking yourself how did Biden declare war on Russia—and this is a de factor act of war—without the consent of Congress? Glad you asked. Biden went to navy divers effectively bypassing the Seals of the Special Warfare Command, which would required knowledge and approval from the US Congress.
There was a vital reason for relying on the graduates of the center’s hardcore diving school in Panama City, Florida. The divers were Navy only, and not members of America’s Special Operations, whose covert actions must be reported to Congress and briefed in advance to the Senate and House leadership—the so-called Gang of Eight.
The Navy divers, operating under the cover of a widely publicized mid-summer NATO exercise known as BALTOPS 22, which included Norway, planted the remotely triggered explosives that three months later, destroyed three of the four Nord Stream 2 pipelines, according to a source with direct knowledge of the operational planning.
Biden’s decision to sabotage the pipelines came after more than nine months of highly secret debate inside Washington’s national security community about how to best achieve that goal with no overt clue as to who was responsible.
The pipelines ran for 750 miles under the Baltic Sea from two different ports in northeastern Russia near the Estonian border, passing close to the Danish island of Bornholm before ending in northern Germany, Russia’s partner in the business venture.
In the immediate aftermath of the pipeline explosion, the American media treated it like an unsolved mystery. Russia was repeatedly cited as a likely culprit, spurred on by calculated leaks from the White House—but without ever establishing a clear motive for such an act of self-sabotage.
The reality is that the Russians know all too well who blew the pipelines. They have also demonstrated unusual self-restrain in their response. Which scares me the most. Make no mistake. We have declared war on Russia the moment Biden gave the order to destroy Nord Stream 2.
We have unleashed an attack on a nuclear capable old adversary, who has a long memory and who has the benefit of time and resources to pay us back at their convenience.
Putting aside the unjustified invasion of Ukraine-unjustified being a rather simplistic view—Russia is a threat to the WEF’s new world order. A new world order our elected leaders are to comfortable with. Creating an enemy is easy, as well as projecting our righteous struggle onto that scapegoat, which can justify our actions and help us sell our righteousness.
And my friends I am sad to say, the United States with it’s current systemic, institutionalized corruption and morally challenged leadership, has no been in the business of righteousness for a very long time, no matter how they sell it to the world or the federation of fools, who perpetually re-elect these miscreants to public office.
