2020 saw a hugely accelerated evolution in the cybersecurity landscape. The pandemic pushed workforces offsite and caused companies to move up plans for digital transformation, cloud services, and a plethora of remote access technologies.
And among all this we find digital identification, digital currency and a social credit system, posing one of the gravest risks to privacy and liberty of any technology that we have ever encountered. Worse, we are rushing headlong into a future where new technologies will converge to make living outside the grit practically impossible.
These systems will use artificial intelligence and machine learning, to make decisions based on our identities. The systems are built on data that can reinforce bias and are wielded without sufficient transparency or human review.
Ultimately, a social credit system will be part of the equation such as the one that is currently expanding in China. The system depends on a digital ID and surveillance to permit or ban an individual’s participation in society based upon who they are and their actions.
By developing these technologies in parallel with systems for a digital ID, we are not simply establishing an identity to access basic social services. Digital IDs will become necessary to function in a connected digital world.
Digital ID systems, as they are being developed today, are ripe for exploitation and abuse, to the detriment of our freedoms and what is left of our Republic. Already, they are working to splinter the internet, collect and localize data, and impose regimes of surveillance and control.
The WEF, in conjunction with the elites in government, have an obsession with control of EVERYTHING in your life. A digital ID system and digital currency, is at the top of their agenda, which would collect all private data such as, your online behavior, purchase history, network usage, medical history, travel history, energy uses, health and vaccination status…AND MORE!
They’d then use this data to determine who should open bank accounts, conduct financial transactions, receive loans, access insurance & treatment, book trips, cross borders, make purchases, attend which schools, what jobs you can have, where you can travel, what social services you can receive… AND MORE!
All based upon your behavior, your opinions, your political views, or groups you associate with. As terrifying as this is, proposals like this that once were beyond the realm of possibilities are no more. It’s here.
The exact methodology is a secret, but examples of infractions include speeding, smoking in non-smoking zones, buying too much food, using too much fuel, running your AC too cold, turning the heat too high, posting fake news online, using too much water, walking your dog without a leash etc. Other potential punishable offenses include spending too long playing video games, wasting money on items deemed frivolous and confrontations with a neighbor or co-worker.
Mark my words. If we don’t put a stop to this, the day will come when it will be impossible to live a private life or yet, live outside the Grit.
